The Woolly Rock Bed and Breakfast is located 4 miles from Glencoe, 12 miles from Fort William and 31 miles from Oban. Overlooking Loch Linnie and surrounded by Mountains it sits in an area where all year round there can be few places to surpass it for colour and tranquillity.
There are many excellent local walks of all types to suit your abilities and equipement. Information available here.
The Dragons Tooth Golf course is just across the bridge and is open all year round, weather permitting, its 9 holes are very challenging and set in very picturesque surroundings.
Fishing in the sea lochs is free and equipement can be purchased from the ironmongers in Ballachulish.
Glencoe has a very beautiful Lochen stocked with Rainbow trout and day tickets are available at £7.00 from Ballachulish ironmongers ,any method allowed.
A new cycle track has now been laid from Ballachulish to Kentallen on the Oban Road approx 6 miles this is planned to continue all the way to Oban eventually.
The village of Kinlochleven lays 8 miles east of The Woolly Rock and the road hugging Loch Levens shoreline is perfect for taking breathtaking photos, the village hosts the River leven ,spectacular in its own right ,also the Ice Factor, this is an indoor ice wall and dry wall for the training of climbing skills, courses are available all year round.
Lots to do and see after your full Scottish breakfast at The Woolly Rock has set you up for the day.
And in the evening on return evening meals are available from The Loch Leven Hotel only a 5 minute Walk.
Or The Famous Loch Leven Sea Food Café 4 miles.
Or many other local restaurants only a few minutes away.
